Thank you for your interest in Caulfield Little Athletics season 2020/2021. You are welcome to come and try on our first competition day on Saturday 14th November. Come and try members are welcome to one competition trial and one training trial.
If you are not able to attend on this day please check our season calendar for a suitable date. The dates in blue are the ones relevant to come and try).
We ask that you now log on and register via the following link https://lavic.com.au/membership , choose Caulfield Little Athletics, and then print your temporary athlete patch ready to bring along on the first morning. I recommend arriving at the track before 8.15 for a 8.30 start. On track to arrive at 9.15 for a 9.30 start. As you can imagine, it is very busy on the mornings of competition, particularly at the start of the season as we welcome many new athletes and families, and allowing some extra time to check in allows us to make sure that your child will be ready to start at 8.30.
Registrations are now open www.caulfieldlac.com.au for when you are ready to register. Fees are $200 for the first child in a family, $190 for a second child and $180 for third and subsequent children. Please note that all registrations are processed via the link on our website. We cannot take payment at the track. Once you have registered and paid, you must forward a copy of your child/ren’s proof of age, such as birth certificate or passport before your registration can be activated.
Competition takes place mainly on Saturday mornings from November 2020 – April 2020. There are also a couple of Friday night twilight competitions during the season. Our 2021/21 season calendar is available online here. Athletes take part in a range of track and field events depending on their age, and the focus is on athlete improvement and personal bests. There are also opportunities for athletes to participate in competition with other Little Athletics centres throughout the season, for those who wish to. Athletes are also invited to participate in Bayside Cross Country over the winter months for a small fee.
Training is optional (and included as part of your membership fees), and is held at the track on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 5.30 during the season. Athletes are able to attend training as often or as little as suits your family. Training is coached by high level coaches to assist in developing children’s athletic skill across all events.
Information regarding age eligibility can be found on the LAVIC website www.lavic.com.au Please note that our Under 6 programme is called “On track” and is an LAVIC programme that is designed to develop skills rather than as formal competition.
The best way to stay abreast of the upcoming season is to check our website www.caulfieldlittleathetics.com.au. We will be updating details as they are confirmed. The website will also give you a good idea of what we offer in terms of training, competition days as well as our policies and opportunities for athletes. We also have a Facebook page for members which is updated with changes to training and other information that may be relevant.
We look forward to meeting you and your child/ren at the track. If you have any questions please email registrar@caulfieldlittleaths.org.au.
