ARRIVAL AT DUNCAN MCKINNON
Please allow enough time to arrive, park car, find Caulfield tent, sign athlete in with Team Managers Natalie Nielson, Nicole Webster and Alan Morris. ATHLETES SHOULD BE AT THE TRACK NO LESS THAN ONE HOUR BEFORE THEIR EVENT.
Ensure your athlete has warmed up for their event and had a bathroom break before entering call room.
Please note: The Call Room Closing Times for athletes events, are as follows:
TRACK EVENTS: will CLOSE 20min prior to event
FIELD EVENTS: will CLOSE 20min prior to event
The call room opens 30 minutes before the event start time and is only open for 10 minutes. Arriving at the Call Room after the closing time could result in disqualification from that event.
Note: Only Athletes, Team Managers and/or Officials are allowed in the Call Room (i.e. no parents are allowed to enter the Call Room).
All Caulfield parents must complete duty! The duty roster can be viewed on the Caulfield Website http://www.caulfieldlac.com.au once it has been finalised. Keep checking.
If you can do extra duty please let Mary Harper or Andrew Mattinson know. If you are unable to do your duty you have selected or been allocated (because you didn’t select one) it may affect your athletes entry into their events or State Championships.
All parents on duty must have enclosed toe shoes on otherwise you will be sent away and the Caulfield athletes in that event maybe affected. Please don’t let our athletes down. If you are unsure please ask the team managers or a committee member.
For those athletes that have a clash between a Field Event and a Track Event please note the track event will take precedents over the field.
The Team Managers have been provided with a list of possible clashes and will have forms completed that have been handed to the (Chief Official in the Call Room) this will alert them to the clash.
Release Marshals will collect the athletes from their Field Event and deliver them to the Track Event. Their race will not commence until the Starter’s have confirmed that all athletes are at the start line. Runners will then be collected from Finish Line and returned back to the Field Event, if required.
This weekend is a big one especially because we are hosting the event for SMR and also have 96 athletes competing its going to be busy and stressful at times. Your support and help is very much appreciated.

All Caulfield members and their families are welcome to come down to the track to support Team Caulfield on both Saturday and Sunday even if your child is not competing. We would love to see you there supporting the Caulfield athletes and parents.

Team Caulfield had 19 teams qualify and compete in the State Relay Championships on Saturday December 15th. We had some fantastic results, lots of fun and tough competition on a blustery Melbourne day which had rain, sunshine, storms and everything in between.
Of the 19 teams competing an amazing 14 of these made it through to the finals. It is a great achievement to make it to the state championships so a big congratulations to all our athletes. Our medal tally at the end of the day was three gold medals and four silver medals. Quite a few of the teams were just outside the medals with four 4th placings and two 5th placings.
The portal for registration is open….and individual registration is still at last year’s $170. We aim to minimise the costs to families where possible so there are also discounts for subsequent members from the same family. See the rego tab for further clarification.
Our club relies on volunteers and each family needs to nominate for duty before registration is accepted. This link will be available upon registration. Any questions please contact the duty co-ordinator Andrew Mattinson on email@example.com.
NEED INFO? If you are unclear on any aspect of registration you will find further details by opening the member info tab at the top of the page and clicking on the Registration link.
RETURNING ATHLETE? You need to log on to the LAVIC website to register. Don’t forget that you will need to nominate for duty. The registration portal is here – http://www.lavic.com.au/Join.
BUDDING ATHLETE? If you are not sure that Little Athletics is for your child we welcome you to “Come and Try”. Please contact our registrar Linda McCaffrey to let us know you will be coming so that we can ensure it is a great experience. For more information click here.
